2021: The steady, reliable Krommenhoek started at tight end as a senior in 2021. Overall while appearing in all 12 games and starting 10 times (all but Stanford and Colorado), he had 15 receptions for 137 yards (9.1 avg) with 1 TD and also had a rush for no yards. He won USC’s Trojan Commitment Award.
He had 2 catches for 26 yards, with a 20-yard diving TD, against San Jose State. He had 3 catches for 29 yards at Washington State, then 2 catches for 9 yards at Oregon State. He had an 11-yard reception against Utah, then he caught 3 passes for 28 yards at Notre Dame. He had a 9-yard catch at Arizona State, 2 receptions for 16 yards against BYU and he caught a 9-yard pass and had a rush for no yards at California.
2020: Krommenhoek was a consistent performer at tight end as a senior in 2020. Overall in 2020 while appearing in all 6 games and starting 4 times (all but Washington State and Oregon), he had 9 receptions for 59 yards (6.6 avg) with 2 TDs.
He had a 6-yard catch for a TD with 3:30 to play at Arizona, then had 3 catches for 24 yards at Utah (including a 10-yard TD), 3 grabs for 15 yards at UCLA and 2 receptions for 14 yards against Oregon. He was a semifinalist for the 2020 Campbell Trophy.
2019: Krommenhoek saw significant time at tight end and on special teams as a junior in 2019. Overall in 2019 while appearing in all 13 games and starting 5 times (BYU, Notre Dame, Arizona, Arizona State, Iowa), he had 11 receptions for 122 yards (11.1 avg). He won USC’s Bob Chandler Award.
He had a 5-yard catch against Fresno State, a 60-yard reception at BYU, 2 catches for 10 yards at Washington, a career-best 5 receptions for 37 yards at Notre Dame, a 3-yard catch against Oregon and a 7-yard catch at Arizona State (he was slowed in that game with a stinger).
2018: Krommenhoek was a key contributor at tight end and on special teams as a sophomore in 2018. Overall in 2018 while appearing in all 12 games and starting twice (Stanford, Washington State), he had 2 catches for 6 yards (3.0 avg) and an 8-yard run. He had a 2-yard catch against UNLV and a 4-yard grab against California, and he also ran 8 yards for a first down as the blocking back on a fake punt at UCLA.
2017: Krommenhoek saw key action in all 14 games as a backup tight end and on special teams as a first-year freshman in 2017. He even started at California. Overall in 2017, he had 2 receptions for 11 yards (5.5 avg). He had a 7-yard catch at California and a 4-yard grab against Oregon State.
HIGH SCHOOL: He made 2016 Prep Star All-West Region, Max Preps All-NorCal first team, San Jose Mercury News All-Bay Area first team and San Francisco Chronicle All-Metro second team as a senior tight end and defensive end at Monte Vista High in Danville (Calif.). In 2016, he had 26 receptions for 447 yards (17.2 avg) with 7 TDs on offense and 3 tackles, 3 tackles for loss, 3 deflections and 1 fumble recovery on defense.
As a junior in 2015, he had 5 receptions for 50 yards (10.0 avg), plus 3 sacks, 3 deflections, 2 fumble recoveries and 1 blocked field goal.
As a 2014 sophomore, he had 7 receptions for 60 yards (8.6 avg) with 1 TD and 2 tackles for loss, 2 sacks and 1 deflection.
PERSONAL: He earned his bachelor’s degree in human biology at USC in the spring of 2021 and now is working on a master’s in non-governmental organizations and social change with a 3.26 GPA. He made 2018 Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention. His parents both attended UCLA.
