2021: Stadthaus saw key action doing placement kicks and kicking off as a junior walk-on placekicker in 2021. Overall in 2021 while appearing in 7 games (Stanford, Washington State, Arizona, Arizona State, UCLA, BYU, California), he hit all 6 of his field goal attempts and all 11 of his PATs, he had touchbacks on 18 of his 30 kickoffs (60%) and he made 2 tackles.
He came into the Stanford game when starting placekicker Parker Lewis was ejected for targeting on the opening kickoff and he then made both of his field goals (24 and 33 yards) and both of his PATs (the first time he had done placement kicking at USC) and 2 of his 3 kickoffs were touchbacks (he also had a tackle). He had a touchback on 1 of his 2 late kickoffs at Washington State. He hit both field goal tries (40 and 23 yards) and all 5 PATs, and 6 of his 8 kickoffs were touchbacks, versus Arizona. 2019: Stadthaus once again handled the kickoff job as a sophomore in 2019. Overall in 2019 while appearing in 12 games (all but Utah), he had touchbacks on 19 of his 62 kickoffs (30.6%), with 3 pinning opponents within the 20-ard line, and he made 4 tackles.
He had touchbacks on 3 of his 6 kickoffs and made a tackle against Fresno State, 3 of his kickoffs were for touchbacks against Stanford and he kicked off twice with a touchback at BYU. He kicked off once (for a touchback) at Washington, had touchbacks on 2 of his 5 kickoffs at Notre Dame, had 1 touchback on his 8 kickoffs against Arizona (and made 2 tackles), had touchbacks on 5 of his 6 kickoffs at Colorado, 2 of his 5 kickoffs were touchbacks (he also had a tackle) against Oregon and he had 2 kickoffs at Arizona State. Overall in 2018 while appearing in all 12 games, he had 61 kickoffs, with 41 touchbacks (67.2%) and 6 pinning opponents within the 20-yard line (and only 1 kick out of bounds). His 64.3 yards per kickoff ranked 11th nationally. He also had a tackle (against California).
He kicked off 10 times against UNLV and had 7 touchbacks (and another pinned the Rebels within the 20). Both of his kickoffs pinned Stanford within the 20. He had touchbacks on 2 of his 3 kickoffs at Texas. He had touchbacks on 4 of his 6 kickoffs against Washington State (pinning the Cougars within the 20 once). He had 4 touchbacks on his 5 kickoffs at Arizona (and pinned the Wildcats within the 20 on the other kickoff). He had touchbacks on 4 of his 6 kickoffs against Colorado. HIGH SCHOOL: He made 2017 All-State Class 6A honorable mention and All-District 25-6A first team as a senior placekicker and punter at Vandegrift High in Leander (Tex.). In 2017, he made 8-of-11 field goals (with a long of 41 yards) and 50-of-51 PATs, had 50 touchbacks on 72 kickoffs and averaged 40.2 yards on 40 punts (with 11 pinning opponents inside the 20 and a long of 65 yards).
As a 2016 junior, he hit 4-of-8 field goals and both of his PAT tries.
He also played basketball and soccer at Vandegrift.
PERSONAL: He is a communication major at USC with a 3.36 GPA. He made the 2021 Pac-12 Academic Honor Roll. He started kicking after winning a halftime fan field goal kicking contest as a high school sophomore (nailing a 60-yarder). He earned his pilot’s license in the summer of 2020.
