COLORADO MESA: He spent his 2018 freshman and 2019 sophomore seasons as a right offensive tackle at Colorado Mesa, an NCAA Division II school. He appeared in 11 games in 2018, then 6 games in 2019 while bothered by a knee injury (he started all but 1). He made the 2019 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference All-Academic team.
