CAREER: In his 4-year collegiate career (3 years at Texas and 1 year at USC), he has run for 2,722 yards on 495 carries (5.5 avg) with 16 TDs and caught 89 passes for 671 yards (7.5 avg) with 6 TDs. He had 8 100-yard rushing games. He appeared in 42 games in his career, with 25 starts.
2021: Ingram, who transferred to USC in the spring of 2021 after gaining nearly 2,000 career yards at Texas, made an immediate impact as USC’s rushing leader as a senior tailback in 2021. Overall in 2021 while appearing in 10 games (all but BYU and California) and starting 7 times (all but San Jose State, Stanford, Washington State, BYU and California), he ran for a team-high 911 yards on 156 carries (5.8 avg) with 5 TDs and caught 22 passes for 156 yards (7.1 avg). He had 3 100-yard rushing games. He missed the BYU and California games with a rib injury suffered against UCLA. He made 2021 All-Pac-12 honorable mention, Pro Football Focus All-Pac-12 second team and Phil Steele All-Pac-12 fourth team. He won USC’s 2021 Jack Oakie “Rise and Shine” Award. He was a 2022 NFLPA Collegiate Bowl and East-West Shrine Bowl invitee.
He ran for a game-high 86 yards on 15 carries and caught a 5-yard pass against San Jose State, then added 44 yards on 10 tries with a short TD and he caught 3 passes for 15 yards against Stanford and had 16 yards on 7 carries and caught 2 passes for minus 1 yard at Washington State. In his first USC start, he had a team-best 79 rushing yards on 14 carries with 2 TDs (9 and 3 yards) and also caught 4 passes for 37 yards against Oregon State. He ran for 124 yards on 14 carries (USC’s first 100-yard game of 2021), including a USC season long 53-yard rush, and also had a 17-yard reception at Colorado. He ran for a team-best 70 yards on 14 carries and had 3 catches for 15 yards against Utah, then had 138 yards on 24 carries with a short TD and caught a pass for no yards at Notre Dame. He ran for a career-high 204 yards (the most by a Trojan since Aca’Cedric Ware’s 205 versus Oregon State in 2018) on 27 carries (the most by a Trojan since Ronald Jones II’s 30 versus Stanford in 2017) with a short TD and he also caught 2 passes for 18 yards against Arizona to earn CollegeSportsMadness.com Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week and Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Player of the Week honorable mention honors. He led USC with 54 yards on 14 carries and also had 2 receptions for 11 yards at Arizona State, then ran for 96 yards on 17 carries and caught 3 passes for 39 yards against UCLA before a rib injury sidelined him in the second half.
TEXAS: In his 3-year (2018-20) career at Texas, he rushed for 1,811 yards on 339 carries (5.3 avg) with 11 TDs and caught 67 passes for 515 yards (7.7 avg) with 6 TDs. He had 5 100-yard rushing games in his Texas career. He appeared in 32 games in his UT career, with 18 starts.
As a 2020 junior, he ran for 250 yards on 53 carries (4.7 avg) with 1 TD and had 11 receptions for 103 yards (9.4 avg) with 1 TD while appearing in 6 games (starting 3 early season contests, versus Texas Tech, TCU and Oklahoma). He was bothered by a pre-season hamstring injury and a late season ankle injury. He missed Texas’ final 3 games after opting out. He had 4 100-yard rushing games, making him 1 of 7 Longhorns since 2000 to have at least that many in a season. As a 2018 freshman, he ran for 708 yards on 142 tries (5.0 avg) with 3 TDs, caught 27 passes for 170 yards (6.3 avg) with 2 TDs and threw an incomplete pass while appearing in 13 games (starting twice, versus Oklahoma State and West Virginia). He had 37 yards on 6 carries with a TD (the first Longhorn true freshman to score a rushing touchdown in a season opener since 2005) and also caught a 3-yard pass. He had 10 rushes for 67 yards with a TD and 3 catches for 14 yards against Tulsa. He had 38 yards on 8 carries versus TCU. He ran for 68 yards on 10 attempts and caught 5 passes for 27 yards at Kansas State. He had 86 yards on 13 carries against Oklahoma. He had 51 yards on 13 attempts and a 4-yard catch at Kansas. He run for 7 yards and caught 3 passes for 23 yards against Oklahoma in the Big 12 Championship Game. He gained 25 yards on 9 carries and had 3 receptions for 24 yards versus Georgia in the Sugar Bowl.
HIGH SCHOOL: He made 2017 All-American, USA Today All-USA Texas and All-District and was a finalist for Mr. Texas Football High School Player of the Year as a senior running back at Carthage (Tex.) High. In 2017, he ran for 2,327 yards on 238 carries (9.8 avg) with 37 TDs and added 284 receiving yards with 2 TDs. Carthage went 16-0 and won the State 4A Division 1 title in 2017.
As a 2016 junior, he made Texas Sports Writers Association All State 4A Co-Offensive Player of the Year and All-District 9-4A Division I first team, Longview News-Journal All-East Texas Offensive MVP as he rushed for 2,244 yards on 320 carries (7.0 avg) with 32 TDs and caught 47 passes for 492 ards (10.5 avg) with 4 TDs. Carthage went 13-2 in 2016 and won the 2016 State 4A Division I title (he was the championship game’s Offensive MVP).
He made All-District 9-4A Division I second team as a 2015 sophomore when he ran for 637 yards on 74 carries (8.6 avg) with 7 TDs and caught 14 passes for 189 yards (21.2 avg) with 2 scores. In his career, he ran for more than 5,000 yards with a school-record 76 TDs.
He also was on Carthage’s basketball and track teams.
PERSONAL: He is a non-governmental organizations and social change major at USC. He majored in physical culture and sport at Texas, where he made the 2020 Academic All-Big 12 first team and the Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll in the springs of 2019 and 2020. He has 9 siblings. His brother, Kelvontay Dixon is a redshirt freshman wide receiver at Texas.
