He came to USC in the summer of 2019 as a graduate transfer from Tennessee and is eligible to play immediately as a senior.
He was a 3-year (2016-18) starter at offensive tackle at Tennessee. He started 25 games for the Volunteers (6 as a 2016 redshirt freshman and 7 as a 2017 sophomore at left tackle and 12 as a junior at right tackle). He redshirted as a 2015 first-year freshman.
He prepped at Memphis (Tenn.) University School. As a 2014 senior, he earned Max Preps All-American second team, Parade All-American honorable mention and Memphis Commercial Appeal Best of the Preps Private School team. Memphis University played in the Tennessee Division II Class AA championship in his 2013 junior season.
He received his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Tennessee in the spring of 2019. He is working on his master’s degree in social entrepreneurship at USC. While at Tennessee, he mentored middle school students at Emerald Academy in Knoxville.
