Bio
2020: Kirsten Vose, a 2020 redshirt senior, is a career six-time All-American, four-time NCAA individual scorer, NCAA relay champion and nine-time Pac-12 finalist. She competed in the fall semester as a redshirt senior, but injuries cut short her season during the spring.
2019: Vose collected her sixth career All-American honor while churning out her fourth career NCAA Championships individual scoring swim as a 2019 redshirt junior. She finished fifth (13th overall) in the NCAA B final of the 200y breast in 2:08.87, posting a season-best 2:08.51 in prelims that was a tenth of a second off making the A final. Earlier in the meet, Vose earned All-American honors by anchoring USC’s third-place 800y free relay. She helped Troy win the B final of the 400y medley relay, swimming the breaststroke leg. She was also 38th in both the 100y breast (1:00.26) and in the 200y IM (1:58.05) … At the 2019 Pac-12s, Vose raced in three A finals, giving her nine career A finals in as many events. She finished third in the 100y breast with a personal best (59.43), sixth in the 200y breast (2:09.17) and seventh in the 200y IM (1:57.00) … She posted a pair of top 4 finishes at the Texas Invitational, taking third in the 200y IM (1:57.91) and fourth in the 100y breast (1:00.33).
2018: Vose missed most of her true 2018 junior season due to injury and received a medical redshirt.
2017: Vose earned All-American honors in the 400y free relay as a 2017 sophomore at the NCAA Championships and also scored in the 100y breast for the first time. Vose helped USC’s 400y free relay to fourth and she took 15th in the 100y breast (59.63). She also swam on USC’s 11th-place 200y and 800y free relays and was 33rd in the 200y breast (2:11.65) and 53rd in the 200y IM (2:00.39) … At the 2017 Pac-12s, Vose was a three-time A finalist for the second year in a row, taking third in both the 100y (59.58) and 200y breast (2:07.65) as well as fifth in the 200y IM (1:55.91). She was also on USC’s 400y free relay team that took second and broke the school record … She was a two-time finalist in the 100y breast and 200y IM at the Texas Invitational.
2016: Vose had a huge freshman season, finishing as a four-time All-American and was USC's only two-time NCAA individual finalist while helping Troy win its first-ever NCAA title in the 400y free relay. Vose, at the NCAAs, finished third in the 200y IM with a PR (1:54.27), eighth in the 200y breast (2:10.42) and just missed a B final spot in the 200y free in 18th (1:45.37). She swam the second leg on USC's 400y free relay title that won in a school-record 3:09.69, turning in a 47.45 split (after helping the relay to a school record in prelims to earn the top seed). She also led off USC's 800y free relay with a PR 1:43.08 that touched second in a school-record 6:53.84 ... She was a three-time finalist at the 2016 Pac-12 Championships and led off USC's 800y free relay title with a then-PR (1:43.20) as the squad set a short-lived school record (6:55.17). She later swam on USC's second-place 400y free relay that also set a then-school record (3:11.87). She finished second in the 200y free (1:44.19), third in the 200y IM (1:55.65, PR) and seventh in the 200y breast (2:10.07) ... Vose had just three dual meet wins, but made them count. Two came at UCLA, where she won the 200y breast (2:08.76) and 200y free (1:44.07, then a PR and USC season best) in meet and pool records ... At the 2015 Texas Invitational, she won the 100y (59.58) and 200y breast (2:07.46) with personal record times, was second in the 200y IM (1:56.53) and eighth in the 100y free (49.24). She also helped USC to wins in the 400y free and medley relays ... Vose was twice named CollegeSwimming.com's Pac-12 Swimmer of the Week, coming on the heels of her efforts at the Texas Invitational and UCLA meets ... At the 2016 U.S. Olympic Trials, she was a semifinalist in the 100m free, finishing 16th (55.18). She also tied for 20th in the 200m free (2:00.48), tied for 26th in the 100m breast (1:09.39) and was 45th in the 200m breast (2:32.91).
HIGH SCHOOL: Vose, who prepped at Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy in La Canada, Calif., was unbeaten during four years of swimming in the Mission League and led her school to four straight league titles ... The three-time Pasadena Star-News Swimmer of the Year won the CIF Southern Section Division I title in the 200 IM three times and captured the 100y breast title as a sophomore and was twice second place. Her 2015 200y IM winning time of 1:56.07 was the third-fastest in the nation ... She is a 2016 Olympic Trials qualifier in the 100m and 200m breast.

PERSONAL: Both of Vose's parents attended UCLA ... She is majoring in geological sciences.
