2014: Brown, who has valuable experience under his belt, was switched from cornerback to tailback in 2014 fall camp and will compete for playing time there as a senior in 2014.
2013: Brown was limited because of injuries to seeing action in just 2 games (Hawaii, Notre Dame) at cornerback as a junior in 2013. He suffered an ankle injury against Hawaii and was sidelined the next 4 games (Washington State, Boston College, Utah State, Arizona State), then had another ankle injury at Notre Dame and was sidelined the rest of the season. Overall in 2013 while starting those 2 games, he had 9 tackles. He had 2 tackles at Hawaii and 9 at Notre Dame.
2012: Brown started USC[apos]s first 2 games (Hawaii, Syracuse) at cornerback as a sophomore in 2012, then served as a backup and played on special teams. Overall in 2012 while appearing in 12 games (all but Utah), he made 18 tackles and 2 deflections. He also blocked a punt at Washington and returned it 21 yards for a TD. He had 6 tackles against Hawaii (with a deflection), 5 versus Syracuse, 3 against Colorado, 2 versus Notre Dame and 1 against Arizona (with a deflection) and Georgia Tech.
2011: Brown began his 2011 redshirt freshman season as a backup cornerback, but emerged as the starter for 2 mid-season games before breaking his left ankle and having surgery, sidelining him for the final 6 games. Overall in 2011 while appearing in 4 games (Syracuse and Arizona State as a backup and Arizona and California while starting for an injured Torin Harris), he had 16 tackles, including 1 for a loss. He had 10 tackles against Arizona and 2 each against Syracuse, Arizona State and California.
2010: Brown redshirted as a freshman cornerback in 2010, his first year at USC.
HIGH SCHOOL: His 2009 honors included Prep Star All-American, Super Prep All-Farwest, Prep Star All-West, Tacoma News Tribune Western 100, Max Preps All-State Division I first team, Cal-Hi Sports All-State third team, All-CIF Eastern Division first team, Riverside Press-Enterprise All-Riverside second team and Inland Valley Daily Bulletin All-Inland Valley MVP as a senior running back and defensive back at Kaiser High in Fontana (Calif.). He had 1,681 yards on 198 carries (8.5 avg.) on offense and had 55 tackles and 1 interception on defense in 2009.
As a junior in 2008, he made Riverside Press-Enterprise All-Riverside honorable mention. He ran for 1,010 yards and 11 TDs on offense and had 48 tackles and 3 interceptions on defense in 2008.
PERSONAL: He is a communication major at USC. His cousin, Bryan Harper, was a freshman wide receiver at Arizona in 2012 before transferring to Fresno State, where he is a sophomore defensive back.
