No. 10 USC To Square Off With No. 16 Texas A&M Sunday

First meeting of ranked opponents at Galen since 2007
The No. 10/No. 10 USC Trojans (4-0) will host the No. 16/No. 19 Texas A&M Aggies (5-0) at the Galen Center on Nov. 26 at 7 p.m. USC has won it last 21 nonconference home games. USC has started the season 4-0 for the third consecutive season, prior to that, USC had not gone 4-0 to start a campaign since the 2001 season.
SECOND TIMES THE CHARM? -- Tonight's matchup of No. 10/No. 10 USC vs. No. 16/No. 19 Texas A&M is the first matchup of ranked teams at the Galen Center since 2007. The only other matchup of ranked opponents at the Galen Center came on Dec, 2, 2007, when No. 4 Kansas defeated No. 22/No. 24 USC 59-55.
USC TAKES CARE OF LEHIGH -- Lehigh scored the first basket, but USC would score the next 10 points and never look back in an 88-63 win at the Galen Center on Nov. 22. Bennie Boatwright led USC with 19 points and 11 rebounds, for his third career double-double. Jonah Mathews added 18 points and a career-high seven rebounds. Chimezie Metu just missed out on a double-double with 15 points and nine rebounds. Eleven Trojans scored in the game and all 12 that played, had at least one rebound.  USC held Lehigh to 35.7 percent shooting, while making 47.1 percent of its own shots. The Trojans outrebounded Lehigh 49-32 and outscored them 40-22 on points in the paint. The win was USC's 21st consecutive home win over a nonconference opponent. Kahron Ross led Lehigh with a game-high 24 points.
BREAKING DOWN NO. 16/NO. 19 TEXAS A&M -- No. 16/No. 19 Texas A&M (5-0) is coming off an 81-65 home win over Pepperdine on Nov. 24. The Aggies have dominated their opponents with its closest win being by 11 points, a 98-87 win over Penn State in the Legends Classic championship game on Nov. 21. Texas A&M also has wins over then-No. 11 West Virginia (88-65), UC Santa Barbara (84-65) and Okahoma State (72-55). Texas A&M has eight players averaging at least 6.0 points per game, led by junior forward D.J. Hogg at 17.2 points per game.  Texas A&M is making 50.8 percent of its shots, while holding its opponents to 38.9 percent. Texas A&M returned eight letterman and four starters from last season's 16-15 team. USC won at Texas A&M 65-63 last season and leads the all-time series, 2-0. ROAD TRIP TO SMU ON DECK -- USC will play at the SMU Mustangs (5-2) in Dallas, Texas on Dec. 2. SMU is coming off a a tough 63-61 loss vs. Western Kentucky, a game the Mustangs led for nearly 37 minutes. SMU also has a loss to Northern Iowa (58-61) and has wins over UMBC (78-67), Lousiana Monroe (83-65), Northwestern State (81-35), Arkansas-Pine Bluff (72-37) and Arizona (66-60). Four Mustangs are averaging double figures in points, led by junior guard Shake Milton at 17.7 points per game. USC leads the all-time series with SMU, 5-1. USC has won the last four meetings, including a 78-73 win at the Galen Center on Nov. 25, 2016 and a 66-65 win in the NCAA Tournament on March 17, 2017.
COMEBACK KIDS AT IT AGAIN -- USC rallied from a 10-point deficit in the win vs. North Dakota State on Nov. 13 and from a 14-point hole in the victory at Vanderbilt on Nov. 19. USC led all NCAA teams during the 2016-17 season with 13 comebacks from 10 or more points down. USC also had 15 wins in games it trailed by nine or more points in the 2016-17 season.
USC KEEPS NONCONFERENCE ROAD WIN STREAK ALIVE -- USC's 93-89 overtime win at Vanderbilt on Nov. 19 extended its winning streak to seven games in nonconference road games. USC last lost on the road in nonconference play at LBSU on Dec. 19, 2013. Â
STEWART SOARING UP THE CHARTSÂ -- USC senior Elijah Stewart surpassed the 1,000 points scored mark during the win at Vanderbilt on Nov. 19 and now has 1,019 career points scored. Stewart has made seven three-pointers this season to give him 182 career 3-point makes, fourth on USC's all-time list and 21 behind Desmon Farmer, who is third on USC's all-time list with 203. Stewart has also played 106 consecutive games, the most of any player in the Pac-12.
