Overview
For decades officials at the University of Southern California had a dream about creating a place where students, alumni, friends and community members could gather together to share the Trojan spirit. The long-awaited dream became a reality with the opening of the Galen Center for the 2006-07 season. Trojan fans can now watch their men’s and women’s basketball and volleyball teams compete in USC’s spectacular on-campus facility.
The Galen Center also hosts concerts, award shows, e-gaming events, film premieres, family shows, filming’s, meetings, social events, lectures and religious services. It’s a flexible space to host a variety of events that can accommodate anywhere from 100 to 10,000 guests. Make our house, your house!
The center includes a 255,000-square-foot arena with 10,258 seats to support USC men’s and women’s basketball and volleyball, and a 45,000-square-foot pavilion that includes four practice courts and offices.

Athletic Pavilion
The 45,000 square-foot pavilion is attached to the Galen Center by an atrium and includes four practice courts, coaches’ offices and administrative offices.
Parking
Parking is limited to various parking structures around campus. For events, parking availability in the McCarthy and Figueroa Street Garages may vary. Lots open two (2) hours prior to tip-off.
Parking may be pre-purchased or purchased on game day with credit card.
Clear Bag Policy
Bag check will not be provided on game day for Men’s and Women’s Basketball. Please make sure that all bags adhere to the clear bag policy:
- One bag that is clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and does not exceed 12” x 6” x 12”, or a one-gallon clear plastic storage bag (Ziploc bag or similar);
- In addition to one of the clear bags noted above, guests may also carry in a small clutch bag or purse approximately the size of a hand, with or without a handle or strap; and
- An exception may be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection.
Beer & Alcohol
Beer and wine will be sold at concession stands throughout the venue. Guests looking to purchase beverages will need to be 21 years old and over and provide identification. Please drink responsibly.
