Victoria Garrick is a senior libero for the Women of Troy.
2017
As a junior, Garrick was named to the VolleyMob NCAA Regional Dream Team and was a Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention… chosen for Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week honors on Sept. 25… named to the UCSB Thunderdome Classic All-Tournament Team… appeared in all 35 matches with 34 starts (at libero) and played in 133 of 136 sets… collected 519 digs (3.90 dps) to lead the team and rank sixth in the Pac-12… scored 18 service aces (0.14 saps) to rank fourth on the team… reached double-digit digs in 29 matches and had 20-plus digs in nine contests… recorded a career-high 10 assists with 18 digs to log her first-career double-double against UCLA (Sept. 20)… finished with 156 assists (1.17 aps)… became the 17th player in school history to record 1,000 career digs during USC’s second-round NCAA match against San Diego (Dec. 2).
2016
As a sophomore, Garrick appeared in all 32 matches, with 13 starts as either the libero or defensive specialist…. collected 182 digs (1.67 dps, fifth on the team), 17 assists, and 12 service aces (fourth on the team)… reached a new career high with 24 digs in a match against UCLA (Sept. 21)… served at least one ace in nine matches including three matches with two aces… chosen for Pac-12 Academic honorable mention.
2015
As a freshman, Garrick appeared in all 36 matches, with 32 starts, and played in 128 of 130 sets… finished with 346 digs (2.70 dps, third on the team), and 22 service aces (second on the team)… reached double-digit digs in 19 matches and set a career high with 23 digs in the NCAA San Diego Regional Final against Kansas (Dec. 12)… also logged 20 digs against Washington (Oct. 4)… had four matches in which she served two aces.

Garrick prepped at Sacred Heart Preparatory in Atherton, Calif., under head coach Damien Hardy… played outside hitter for three seasons… two-time West Bay Athletic League first-team selection (junior and senior seasons), second-team as a sophomore… SHP Senior Athlete of Distinction… two-time Palo Alto Daily News Athlete of the Week (2013, ’14)… served as varsity captain for two seasons (2013-14)… helped her 2012 squad to the CIF Central Coast Section Division IV league championship, the Central Coast title, and the Northern California championship.

Victoria Lane Garrick was born on April 30, 1997, in Chicago, Ill.… parents are George and Lainie Garrick… has two brothers Jonathan (22) and William (18)… brother Jonathan is a pro golfer and was a member of the UCLA men’s golf team (2012-16)… grandfather John Panagakis played baseball at the University of Miami… hosted a radio show (KSHS 87.9FM), wrote for The Heart Beat (school newspaper), led an a cappella group, and coached volleyball at the Sienna Youth Center (Redwood City, Calif.) while a student at SHP… has her own podcast called Skipping Practice… gave a TED Talk on the subject of student-athletes and mental health in the spring of 2016… majoring in broadcast journalism.
