Hansen was a three-year letterwinner at Desert Vista HS in Phoenix under head coach Molly West… as a senior, named No. 70 Senior Ace by PrepVolleyball.com… named 2017 team captain and team MVP… selected to 6A Central Region second team… helped lead DVHS to 2015 Arizona State championship… named Tempe All-City honorable mention and Arizona All-Central region honorable mention as a sophomore… chosen to the All-Academic first team in 2017… 2017 USAV High Performance A1 All-Tournament team… member of National Honors Society… president of DVHS Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Hansen played seven years at Aspire Volleyball Club on the 18Rox and 17Rox squads… helped lead her club to fifth place at the 2017 Girls’ Junior National Championship and tournament victories at Las Vegas qualifier, Minneapolis qualifier, and Music City qualifier.

Abigail Marie Hansen was born on August 15, 2000, in Phoenix, Ariz.… parents are Scott and Tammy Hansen… has a brother named Adam and a sister named Annalise… great uncle Glenn Presnell was an All-American halfback at Nebraska (1925-27) and was a member of the Detroit Lions’ inaugural team (1934); he later served as head coach at Nebraska in 1942 when they played as part of the Big Six Conference; and coached Eastern Kentucky for 10 years (1954-63) before serving as the EKU Athletic Director until 1971… enjoys snorkeling, boogie-boarding, and card games in her spare time… favorite foods are sushi, steak, and ice cream… undecided major.
