2019-20 SEASON: Maracea Chase enters her sophomore season on the USC women's rowing team.
2018-19 SEASON: Chase competed in three races for the Women of Troy during her freshman season...Helped USC to beat UCLA to extend USC's undefeated streak to 18-0 all-time…Finished in second place in the Women's Novice Open 8+ at the San Diego Fall Classic...Placed fourth in the Women's Open 4+ at the San Diego Fall Classic.
HIGH SCHOOL: Chase was a two-year letter winner in volleyball at Miyamura High School as a middle blocker...Won the 2017 NMAA Student Athlete Spotlight as a senior and was the 2017 Navajo Times All-Star selection...Selected for the 2017 District 1-5A All-District Team.
PERSONAL: Maracea Chase was born September 28, 1999...Daughter of Duane and Pecola Chase...Has two brothers, Donovan and Steven, and a sister, Di-Zhon...Her grandfather attended USC from 1971-1973...Her mother played basketball and volleyball at Central Arizona College (1982-1984), and then transferred to Northern Arizona to play basketball (1985-1987)...Aspires to give back to the Native American community in which she grew up through film.
