2021-22 SEASON: Olivia Lau begins her senior season competing for the USC women's rowing team.
2020-21 SEASON: Lau competed in one race during her junior season…In a dual with San Diego State, she placed second with the Varsity 4+.
2019-20 SEASON: Lau competed in two races during her sophomore season….The 2019-20 rowing season was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic….She finished in 10th place in the Women’s Open 4+ at the San Diego Fall Classic…She also competed with the Varsity 4 at the Lake Las Vegas Invitational where her boat placed second behind Washington.
2018-19 SEASON: Lau coxed for the Varsity 4 during her freshman season...Earned 4th place as a team at the Pac-12 Championships... Helped USC to beat UCLA to extend USC's undefeated streak to 18-0 all-time…Finished in third place in the B Final with the Varsity 4 at the Longhorn Invitational...Defeated Wisconsin and Iowa in duals at the Pac-12 Challenge...Placed fourth in the Women's Open 4+ at the San Diego Fall Classic.
CLUB: Competed for Oakland Tech Rowing Club for four years.
HIGH SCHOOL: Lau was a three-year letter winner in rowing at Oakland Technical High School...Her team placed second in the V8 at the West Coast Scholastic Championship in 2018 and 2017, and third in the V4 in 2018.
PERSONAL: Olivia Lau is the daughter of Michael Lau and Tammy Tam...Has two sisters, Lillian and Clarisse...Her twin sister, Lillian, also attends USC and is a member of the women's rowing team...Is studying biomedical engineering at USC...Played piano for 13 years...Has always wanted to learn to play the cello.
