THIS YEAR: Â Senior Isaiah Jewett is in his third season of competing in the 800m for the USC track and field team after transferring from UC Irvine. Â He is the USC indoor record-holder in the 800m and ranks third on the school's outdoor list. Â He is also fifth in USC's indoor 400m list.
2020: Â Had a season indoor best of 1:4712 in winning the 800m at the Texas Tech Invitational. Won the 400m with a time of 46.19 at the MLK Invitational which moved him to fifth on USC's all-time indoor list.
2019: Â Jewett had a huge first season as a Trojan. He ran a PR third-fastest time in USC history of 1:46.11 to win the 800m in the Mt. SAC Relays Invite race. Â Â He also ran 1:49.25 to win the Pac-12 800m title. He also anchored USC's 4x400m relay which won the Pac-12 title with a time of 3:05.73. Â He advanced to the NCAA semifinals in the 800m and despite his time of 1:47.80 being seventh overall, he did not advance to the final as the top 2 from each of three heats and the next 2 best times advanced. Â He went on to run 1:46.66 to finish fifth at the USATF Championships. Â He also set his 400m PR of 46.29 to win at the Power 5 Challenge and his 1500m PR of 4:02.21 to place seventh at the Jim Click Shootout. Â Â He was an indoor 800m All-American, placing seventh with a time of 1:48.47 at the NCAA Indoor Championships. Â He captured the MPSF indoor 800m title with a time of 1:47.20. Â He set the USC indoor 800m record with a time of 1:46.91 in placing second at the Texas Tech Classic.Â
BEFORE USC:  Jewett competed for UC Irvine in 2016 and 2017, winning  the 2017 Big West 800m title and placing 11th in the 800m at the NCAA Championships with a PR of 1:47.43, second on UCI’s all-time list.  The 2017 was his first competing in the 800m and he also won the event at the Steve Scott Invitational, Mt. SAC Relays and the Big West Challenge.  He went undefeated in the 800m and the 400m during  the regular season.  He set a then-400m PR of 46.82 in winning at the Sacramento State Mondo Team Challenge.  Jewett placed 15th in the 800m race at the USATF Championships with a time of 1:47.73.  Jewett was named Big West Male Track Athlete of the Week four times in 2017. Jewett ran unattached in 2018 and had PRs of 46.40 in the 400m and 21.2 in the 200m at the Jim Bush Track & Field Championships.
HIGH SCHOOL:  Jewett is a 2015 graduate of Cathedral High in Los Angeles, Calif.  He was a CIF Southern Section Division 3 runner up in the 400m as a senior.  He went on to finish sixth in the 400m at the CIF Masters Meet and seventh at the CIF State Championships.  He also qualified for the state meet twice as part of Cathedral’s 4x400m relay team.
PERSONAL:  Isaiah was born on February 2, 1997 in Beverly Hills, Calif.…His mother’s name is Venus Jewett…He has two sisters, Victorya and Olympia…His hobbies include watching anime and playing volleyball. He is a Non-Governmental Organizations and Social Change major at USC.
