2020-21 SEASON: Clare McKee, who transferred to USC in the fall of 2020 after receiving her bachelor’s degree from the Princeton School of Public Policy and International Relations (allowing her to be eligible to play as a graduate transfer) will compete in her final year of eligibility as a member of the Women of Troy.
PRINCETON: As a senior in 2020, she went 16-5 in singles with an 8-3 record in the fall and an 8-2 record in the spring before COVID-19 canceled the season early…She had a 15-8 doubles record, with records of 10-4 in the fall and 5-4 in the spring.
As a junior in 2019, McKee, a team captain, had the second-most singles wins on the team, going 25-7 with a 12-2 record in the fall an 13-5 in the spring, playing most often at fourth singles…Went 16-10 in doubles, going 7-3 in the fall and 9-7 in the spring with matches from the No. 1 and No. 2 positions… Helped lead the team to become Ivy League Champions…This season, the Tigers reached their highest ranking in program history by finishing the season at No. 33 in the nation.
As a sophomore in 2018, as a team captain, she co-led the team with 22 singles wins, going 22-13 with a 14-7 record in the spring and 14-6 on court four…Went 17-11 in doubles including 13-4 in the spring, all on court two…Helped lead the team to become Ivy League Champions.
As a freshman in 2017, she went 17-10 in singles play, leading the team in wins…In the spring, went 8-4, and in the fall, went 9-6…Played primarily at fifth and sixth in duals…Went 14-10 in doubles, including 8-6 in duals and 6-4 in the fall…Played all spring doubles matches from the No. 3 position.
HIGH SCHOOL: McKee was a TennisRecruting.net five-star recruit, which ranked her as the No. 8 player in Florida, the No. 15 player in the Southeast and the No. 56 player in the nation…Won the No. 2 singles flight at the Florida state high school championships in 2014, sharing Palm Beach Post Player of the Year honors and Sun-Sentinel Palm Beach Player of the Year recognition…Was a four-year varsity team member at Boca Raton Community High School…Named an ESPN West Palm Top 63 athlete…Was a two-time Florida High School Athletic Association State Champion…Academically, was a National Merit Commended Scholar and Advanced Placement Scholar…Was voted Prom Queen.
PERSONAL: Clare Elizabeth McKee was born on November 15, 1998…Daughter of Geoffrey and Tamara McKee…Has two brothers, Max and Zebedee and two sisters, Grace and Johana Francis…Is in the Master’s of Science in Entrepreneurship and Innovation program in the Marshall School of Business…Her father played basketball and rowed at Brown University…Her brother played basketball at Johns Hopkins University…Aspires to work in finance or create her own business.
