2020-21 SEASON: Summer Dvorak, who transferred to USC in the fall of 2020 from Duke, will compete in her final year of eligibility as a member of the Women of Troy.
DUKE: While at Duke, Dvorak helped the Blue Devils to an 11-2 record before the COVID-19 pandemic cancelled the 2020 season. At Duke, she earned her master's of management.
VANDERBILT: Dvorak was on the women's tennis team at Vanderbilt from 2016-2019. She helped the Commodores make impressive runs in the NCAA Tournament, including to the NCAA championship match (2018), two Final Four finishes (2016 and 2017) and an Elite Eight finish (2019). She holds career-high ITA Collegiate Tennis Rankings of No. 24 in doubles and No. 96 in singles (both from 2017). Additionally, she earned placement on the 2018 All-SEC Second Team. At Vanderbilt, she earned her bachelor's in Human and Organizational Development.
PERSONAL: Summer Sabrina Dvorak was born on August 19, 1997…Daughter of Dusty and Wendi Dvorak…Dvorak is a Trojan legacy as her father is USC men's volleyball legend Dusty Dvorak. Dvorak was a two-time All-American setter at USC (1979-80) who led Troy to the 1977 and 1980 NCAA titles before he guided the U.S. to a gold medal at the 1984 Olympics. He is regarded as America's greatest male setter and is a member of the USA Volleyball and USC Athletic Halls of Fame. His Trojan jersey is retired in the Galen Center…Has one brother, Drake and one sister, Stormy…Is earning her Financial Compliance Certificate at USC.
