2022: Moore will battle for for playing time at inside linebacker as a redshirt junior in 2022.
2021: Moore saw action in 10 games (all but Washington State and Colorado) primarily on special teams as a walk-on redshirt sophomore inside linebacker in 2021. Overall in 2021, he had 1 tackle (at Arizona State). He missed the Colorado game with a leg injury. He won USC’s Walk-On Award.
2020: Moore saw brief action in 1 game (Oregon) a reserve inside linebacker and on special teams as a walk-on redshirt freshman in 2020, but did not make a tackle.
2019: Moore redshirted as a first-year freshman walk-on inside linebacker in 2019 after having arthroscopic surgery on his knee in fall camp.
HIGH SCHOOL: He originally signed with Colorado and participated in the first week of 2018 fall camp, but did not enroll full-time in school and left the team for personal/family reasons. He came to USC in the summer of 2019.
He missed all but 3 games of his 2017 senior season at Corona del Mar (Calif.) High because of a quad injury, but had 23 tackles, including 2 for losses (with a sack), and had 2 deflections.
As a 2016 junior, he made Daily Pilot Dream Team second team as he had 67 tackles, including 11 for losses (with 3.5 sacks), 3 deflections and 1 forced fumble. Corona del Mar went 12-2 in 2016 and advanced to the CIF Division 4 championship game.
He spent his freshman and sophomore seasons at Mater Dei High. Current Trojans Frank Martin II, Solomon Tuliaupupu, John Jackson III, Bru McCoy, Raesjon Davis, Kyron Ware-Hudson and Josiah Zamora prepped at Mater Dei.
PERSONAL: He is a real estate development major at USC with a minor in accounting. His brother, Grant, was an inside/outside linebacker at USC (2015-17) who won USC’s Joe Collins Walk-on Award in 2016 before earning a scholarship in 2017. His father, Rex, was a 4-year (1984-87) letterman linebacker at USC, leading the Trojans in tackles while earning team Most Inspirational Player accolades in 1986. His uncle, Rob, was a fullback at Stanford (1980-83) who then attended USC for his JD/MBA. His grandfather, Robin, was the NCAA 50-yard freestyle swimming champion in 1956 for Stanford (he once set a world record).
