Australian standout earns spot on World Select Team for global showcase in Portland.
LOS ANGELES - USC freshman forward Sitaya Fagan has been selected to compete at the 2026 Nike Hoop Summit, earning a place among top young talent on the World Select Team, as announced by Nike Basketball on Thursday, March 26.Â
With her selection to the 2026 Nike Hoop Summit, Fagan joins a list of Trojans with prior experience at the event, including teammates Jazzy Davidson, Kennedy Smith and JuJu Watkins.
The 27th edition of the Nike Hoop Summit will take place on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon, where the World Select Team will face off against the top high school players from the United States. The event will stream live on Peacock.
Fagan is one of 12 international players chosen for the prestigious showcase, joining a roster that features elite prospects from across the globe. The World Select Team will be coached by New Zealand's Jillian Harmon, who serves as director of the NBA Basketball School France.
A proven performer on the international stage, Fagan brings an impressive résumé representing Australia. She most recently captured gold at the 2025 FIBA U17 Women's Oceania Cup, where she was named tournament MVP after averaging 12.3 points and 5.3 rebounds per game while leading her team to the title.
Fagan also helped Australia to a silver medal at the 2025 FIBA U19 World Cup and contributed to a fifth-place finish at the 2024 FIBA U17 Women's Basketball World Cup. Her international success extends further, with gold medals at the 2023 FIBA U16 Women's Asian Championship Division A and the 2022 FIBA U15 Women's Oceania Championship.
A December 2025 graduate of Basketball Australia's Centre of Excellence, Fagan has developed into one of the premier young prospects in the international game. She joined the Trojans in January of 2026 in preparation for her fall collegiate debut.Â
