USC’s Kiki Iriafen and JuJu Watkins Named to Wooden Award Midseason Top 25 Watch List

They are the Trojans’ top scorers this season.
USC has two Trojans on the John R. Wooden Award Midseason Top 25 Women's Watch List for this 2024-25 season in leading scorers JuJu Watkins and Kiki Iriafen, who have helped the No. 4 USC women's basketball team to a 14-1 overall record and a 4-0 start to Big Ten Conference play. Also selected as AP Preseason All-Americans and to the Preseason All-Big Ten Team, Watkins and Iriafen have both scored in double digits in all 15 games for the Trojans this season.
A three-time AP, USBWA and Big Ten Player of the Week this season, sophomore guard JuJu Watkins is the nation's No. 3 scorer with 25.1 points per game and is third in free throws made (102). She's also in the nation's top-50 in steals and blocks, and she is USC's leader in 3-pointers made (33), assists (4.1 per game) and steals (2.5 per game). Grad student Kiki Iriafen is one of the nation's top post players, ranked ninth in offensive rebounds per game (4.6) while leading the Trojans with 9.0 rebounds per game and six double-doubles so far this season. Named to the Big Ten Weekly Honor Roll this season, she is also averaging 17.9 points per game as a Trojan.
Watkins, Iriafen and the rest of the Women of Troy are currently in Maryland on a Big Ten road trip that has No. 4 USC taking on the No. 8 Terrapins on Wednesday (Jan. 8) at 8:30 p.m. on FS1 in College Park, Md.
