Trojans Fall to NC Dinos in Exhibition

LOS ANGELES – The USC baseball team faced the professional squad NC Dinos of the Korean Baseball Organization on Monday night, falling 12-2 in an exhibition.
RJ Bates provided the highlight at the plate for USC, hitting a monster shot to centerfield for the team's first run. USC would add a second in the eighth inning on a Christian Moya goundout.
The Dinos used a six-run second inning to take an early lead and tacked on four runs late in the eighth.
Riley Lamb got the start for the Trojans and tossed 4.0 innings before giving way to Augie Sylk for 3.0 frames. John Beller and Isaac Esqueda tossed the final two frames for USC. Lamb struck out five batters and Sylk had three strikeouts.
TOP PERFORMERS
The Trojans host Loyola Marymount for a non-conference matchup tomorrow at 6 p.m. USC then hits the road to face No. 5 Arkansas for a three-game series starting on Friday.
