FRESNO, Calif. - Senior center Adrain Williams had a triumphant homecoming, scoring 22 points and leading the USC women's basketball team to a 65-59 victory at Fresno State on Sunday afternoon.
Williams, a Fresno native, also had seven rebounds and three assists in the victory. She was 8-of-11 from the free-throw line.
Senior guard Kristin Clark had 13 points, four assists and a team-high nine rebounds and sophomore forward Tashara Carter scored 10 points.
The Bulldogs had a 30-28 halftime lead but the Women of Troy took the lead for good at 37-36 on a Williams lay-up with 14:59 left.
USC took as much as a 14-point lead in the second half.
The Women of Troy host Drake on Wednesday (Nov. 25) in the Lyon Center at 7 p.m.
