THIS SEASON: Sophie Traversi enters her second season of competition at USC.
2020: In a season cut short due to the coronavirus pandemic, Traversi played but did not score as a redshirt freshman as USC was 12-1 overall when competition was cancelled... Earned ACWPC All-Academic honors.
2019: Traversi redshirted her first season at USC.
HIGH SCHOOL: Traversi played water polo, swam and surfed at Palos Verdes High... Named to Second Team All-Bay League in 2015, 2016 and 2017…Earned CIF Honorable Mention… An honor student… Played club for Trojan Water Polo, Palos Verdes Water Polo and Socal Water Polo.
PERSONAL: Traversi is majoring in cognitive science… Parents are Steve and Dana… Has one sibling, Zack, who is in his final year at USC and played one season for the Trojans men’s water polo team… Enjoys drawing, singing, painting, surfing, running, and beach lounging in her free time… Favorite TV shows are The Office and New Girl… Hopes to make a movie someday… Wants to travel to Australia, Thailand, New Zealand, Portugal, and more, and hopes to play professionally before deciding on another career… Born on July 15, 1999.
