THIS SEASON: Nina Ceklic enters her second season of competition at USC.
2020: Ceklic did not compete in 2020.
2019: Ceklic did not compete in 2019.
2018: Ceklic scored eight goals as a true freshman... First career goal was Jan. 27 vs. Pomona-Pitzer... Scored in five games with two multiple-goal outings... Set career high with a hat trick vs. Sonoma State on Feb. 10.
NATIONAL TEAMS: Ceklic was a member of the Canadian Junior National Team... Won gold at 2016 Junior Pan American Championships... Also was a member of Canada’s Youth National Team, earning silver at the 2015 Youth Pan American Games.
HIGH SCHOOL: Ceklic was a two-time National Championship League All Star Team recipient out of Henry Wise Wood High School in Calgary… Played club for the Calgary Renegades and the Pacific Storm… With the Renegades, she led the team to a Western National Championship and earned a silver medal in the U16 National Championship in 2015… She was awarded the 2017 U19 MVP of the Calgary Renegades... An honor student.
PERSONAL: Ceklic is majoring in art and hopes to pursue a career in design or animation… Parents are Ljubomir and Aleksandra... Has two brothers, Lazar and Stefan… Ljubomir played handball professionally in former Yugoslavia... Lazar played water polo for the Canadian Junior National Team and is head coach of Calgary Seawolves... Favorite foods are cevapi and ramen… Favorite movie is The Godfather and favorite TV shows include Love, Death, Robots and Black Mirror… After graduation, she hopes to get a postgraduate degree and travel around Asia and Europe… Born on Aug. 6, 1999.
