As a junior, Lanier received AVCA All-America honorable mention and Volleyball Magazine All-America honorable mention… AVCA All-Pacific South Region Team… Pac-12 All-Conference Team… named to three non-conference all-tournament teams and received MVP distinction at the Bubly Invitational and Trojan Invitational… chosen to the Pac-12 Preseason All-Conference Team… played in 29 matches and appeared in 107 sets… recorded 457 kills (4.27 kps) and 511.0 points (4.78 pps) which each ranked fourth in the Pac-12… collected 38 service aces (0.36 saps) to rank third in the conference… hit .226 on the season and picked up 218 digs (2.04 dps) with 30 blocks (two solo)… recorded nine double-double matches and reached double-digit kills in 27 matches… set new career highs in kills (29), attacks (73), and points (32.5) against Arizona State (Oct. 12).

Khalia Imani Lanier was born on Sept. 19, 1998, in Scottsdale, Ariz.… parents are Bob and Rose Lanier… has two brothers, Ravance and Kamal, and one sister, Kahori… father Bob played basketball at St. Bonaventure University where the court is named in his honor; he was the first overall pick of the 1970 NBA draft and went on to become an eight-time all-star during his career with the Detroit Pistons (1970-80) and Milwaukee Bucks (1980-84); entered the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1992 and served as the interim head coach of the Golden State Warriors in 1994-95… lists her father as her biggest sports hero and wears No. 16 as a tribute to his athletic career; his number 16 is retired by both the Pistons and the Bucks… lists The Help as her favorite movie… aspires to one day play volleyball in the Olympics… majoring in human biology.
