USC Women’s Rowing Wins Four Races on Senior Day

The Trojans won all four races in the last dual regatta of the season against San Diego.
LOS ANGELES — Competing in the final race at the Port of Los Angeles of the season, the USC Women's Rowing team sent off its seniors by winning all four races against San Diego on Saturday, May 2.
All four races were open-water victories for the Trojans. USC's Second Varsity Four finished in 7:39.20 to beat two Torero boats by a nine-second margin to start off the morning. In the closest race of the morning, the Varsity Four edged out the Toreros by five seconds by stopping the clock at 7:23.03.
In the eights, the Second Varsity Eight won with a time of 6:27.07 — nearly 20 seconds ahead of San Diego. The Varsity Eight then capped off the sweep by winning with a time of 6:17.07, which was nearly 14 seconds faster than the Toreros.
After the race, the Trojans honored seniors Alex DeLisle, Grace Eamer, Julia Karten, Isabella Korellis, Rachel McCafferty and Raquel Rodriguez in their final home regatta.
USC will begin the postseason in two weeks at the Big Ten Championships, held in Indianapolis, Ind. from May 16-17.
