Ja’Tavia Tapley’s athleticism and versatility make her a threat in all realms of the game and has locked her in as a key factor for the Trojans as she enters her junior season.
2017-18 SOPHOMORE SEASON
Tapley appeared in all 31 games, scoring in 14 of those appearances as a sophomore... Scored a season-high nine points twice... Set career highs with 10 rebounds and five steals vs. Arizona... Also delivered a career-high four assists at Colorado... Averaged 2.0 points and 2.6 rebounds per game.
2016-17 FRESHMAN SEASON
Tapley started the last 15 games of the season and appeared in all 30 as a true freshman... Averaged 5.7 points and 3.2 rebounds per game... Also had 0.8 assists and steals per game... Set career high with 15 points vs. Arizona on Jan. 27... Also scored in double figures in debut vs. Hawai'i (10 points) and vs. Oregon State (11 points) on Jan. 15... Top rebounding performance was vs. Washington State on Feb. 17 with eight rebounds... Scored in 28 games.

Cousin Josh Johnson played football at Miami University... Enjoys spending holidays with her family... Lists Kevin Durant as her biggest sports hero... Has always wanted to travel to Jamaica... Hopes to play professionally overseas after graduation... Majoring in communication and hopes to pursue a career as a sports commentator.
