THIS SEASON: Jake Sannem is a 2018 freshman who will solidify USC’s middle distance freestyle while able to score points from the 50 to the 500. He will provide immediate scoring punch in dual meets and will challenge for big points at the conference and perhaps NCAA level.
HIGH SCHOOL: Sannem prepped at La Salle College High School in Wyndmoor, Penn., where he is the reigning 2017 Pennsylvania AAA state champion in both the 200y and 500y free while finishing third in the 50y free. At the 2016 State Championships, he won the 500y free in a state record of 4:19.64 and was second in the 100y and 200y free. Sannem was second in the 200y free and third in the 500y free at the 2015 state meet … He swam at the 2016 Speedo East Winter Junior Nationals, finishing sixth in the 200m free and 10th in the 100m free ... He was a two-time finalist in the 100m and 200m free at the 2016 Speedo Junior Nationals … He swam at the 2016 U.S. Olympic trials, finishing 72nd in the 200m free.
CLUB: Upper Dublin Aquatic Club.
