USC Wraps Action at Texas Hall of Fame Swimming Invitational

AUSTIN, Texas – USC swimming wrapped up a solid week of competition at the Texas Hall of Fame Invitational on Friday afternoon, posting multiple NCAA qualifying times.
Junior Krzysztof Chmielewski claimed the men's 200y fly, winning the championship final in 1:39.81, while his twin brother Michal Chmielewski won the men's 100-yard butterfly in 45.41. Michal's time was the second fastest in program history.
Both brothers also logged multiple top eight finishes, making them USC's most successful scorers of the weekend. Krzysztof added a runner-up finish in the 500 free (third – 4:12.24) and another championship final appearance in the 400y IM (3:44.45). Michal also reached multiple A-finals, finishing fourth in the 200y fly (1:40.91) and third in the 100y back (45.63).
On the women's side, Minna Abraham was USC's lone event winner, claiming the 200y free in 1:40.47, one of the fastest times in the country so far this season. Abraham was also third in the 100y free (47.01) and sixth in the 500y free (4:41.76).
Other top performers included Ashley McMillan, Junhao Chan, Claire Tuggle, Justina Kozan and Sanberk Oktar. Trojan McMillan finished fifth in both the 200y IM (1:56.34) and 400y IM (4:06.93). Kozan was third in the 200y fly (1:54.48), fourth in the 400y IM (4:06.00) and fifth in the 500y free (4:38.00), while Tuggle was runner-up in the 500y free (4:35.42) and fourth in the 200y free (1:43.73). On the men's side, Chan was sixth in the 200y breast (1:53.37) and seventh in the 100y breast (52.16). Oktar finished seventh in the 200y IM (1:42.87), 200y breast (1:55.57) and 400y IM (3:44.11).
USC closed the meet with strong relay swims and depth across championship and consolation finals, wrapping up the program's final meet of the fall. The Trojans return to action in January.
