THIS SEASON: Nikita Tretyakov is a 2018 freshman who is particularly strong in the back but has enough versatility to provide the Trojans scoring in multiple specialties in dual meets and beyond.
RUSSIA: Tretyakov is originally from Izhevsk, Russia, and has lived in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. and competed for the Swim Fort Lauderdale Club for the past four years while being homeschooled …. He has competed with the Russian Swimming Federation in numerous international events, most recently at the 2017 FINA World Juniors where he was third in the 200m back (1:58.72) and eighth in the 100m back (55.57) … At the 2017 European Juniors, he was third in the 200m back (1:59.20) … He won three individual races (50m back, 100m back, 100m fly) at the 2017 FGC Senior Championships … Swimming for Russia, Tretyakov placed 19th in the 200m back at the 2016 Arena European Junior Swimming Championships.
