THIS SEASON: Brock Redondo, a sophomore transfer from Army who joined the team in the spring semester, will bolster USC[apos]s distance corps in his first year as a Trojan.
ARMY: As a cadet freshman in 2011, Redondo won the 400y IM, was second in the 500y free and was third in the 1650y free at the Eastern College Athletic Conference Championships. Redondo, who broke Army freshman records in the 400y IM and the 500y free, earned All-Patriot League second team honors.
HIGH SCHOOL: Redondo prepped at Capistrano Valley (Calif.) High, where he was a CIF champion and a regular national qualifier.
CLUB: Irvine Aquazots/Brian Pajor.
PERSONAL: Born on March 18, 1992.
