THIS SEASON: A talented young backstroker, 2015 junior Jeff Swanston continues to improve as he tried to carve out a larger role in dual meets and the postseason.
2014: Swanston was an individual point scorer as a sophomore at the 2014 Pac-12 Championships, finishing 13th in the 200y back (1:45.82), 14th in the 100y back (48.94) and 23rd in the 200y IM (1:49.41).
2013: Swanston provided depth in the back for the Trojans as a 2013 freshman.
HIGH SCHOOL: Swanston, a Canadian native, prepped at Sir William Mulock Secondary School in Newmarket, Ontario, and represented his country at the 2011 World Junior Championships, reaching the final of the 200m back and the semifinals in the 100m and 50m back. A Canadian junior national teamer, he swam at the 2010 Junior Pan Pac Champ.
PERSONAL: He was born on June 17, 1994, and he is a political science major.
