Jake Albertus is entering his first season as USC's Director of Men's Basketball Operations in 2026-27.
Alburtus reunites with Coach Musselman after the two worked together at the University of Arkansas for two seasons.
Alburtus joins USC from Western Michigan University, where he spent the 2025-26 season as the Director of Operations. During his time with the Broncos, Alburtus handled all of the operations and logistics for the program.
Prior to Western Michigan, Alburtus spent two seasons at Georgia Tech as the Recruiting and Operations Coordinator. In that role, he handled all program operations while developing the recruiting content. Along with that, he organized all on-campus recruiting visits. During those two seasons, the Yellow Jackets ranked in the top 20 by Rivals.com for their recruiting classes.
Before heading to Atlanta, Alburtus was a graduate assistant for two seasons at the University of Arkansas under Coach Musselman. While in Fayetteville, he assisted the staff with operations, scouting, film breakdown, and designing recruiting content. The Razorbacks made it to the Elite Eight in 2022 and had back-to-back Sweet 16 appearances in that time. He was at Arkansas when they earned the No. 2 recruiting class in the country, which included three 2023 NBA draft picks in Anthony Black, Nick Smith Jr. and Jordan Walsh.
Alburtus attended Western Michigan, where he was a student manager on the men's basketball team. During his time in Kalamazoo, he served as a camp coach for Steve Wojciechowski at Marquette, Anthony Grant at Dayton and Greg Kampe at Oakland. He also spent time as a camp coordinator for several Breakthrough Basketball camps throughout the Midwest during his time at WMU.
