The 6-4 guard comes to Los Angeles from Georgetown.
LOS ANGELES – USC Men's Basketball has added transfer KJ Lewis to the roster for the 2026-27 season, Head Coach Eric Musselman announced today.
"We are so excited to welcome KJ Lewis to our Trojan Family," Musselman said. "KJ is someone that we recruited both while he was in high school and in the transfer portal. KJ is one of the most competitive players in college basketball, and he will provide us with a tremendous amount of leadership and experience. KJ is an outstanding perimeter defender who can guard multiple positions. He also does a phenomenal job of getting to the free-throw line at an extremely high rate, which fits in with our USC Basketball DNA."
Lewis comes to Los Angeles from Georgetown University, where he started in 28 of the 29 games he played in for the Hoyas. The All-BIG EAST Third Team honoree led Georgetown in scoring, averaging 14.9 points per game. Along with that, Lewis attacks the board, snagging 5.1 rebounds per game. The NABC Mid Atlantic District Second Team honoree finished with double-digit points 24 times and earned his first career double-double against Binghamton earlier in the season.
Prior to Georgetown, Lewis played for two seasons at the University of Arizona. During his sophomore season, he played in all 37 games for the Wildcats, averaging 10.8 points and 4.6 rebounds per game. During his freshman season, Lewis earned Pac-12 All-Freshman Honorable Mention. He came off the bench for the Wildcats in all 36 games, averaging 6.1 points and 3.1 rebounds in 18.3 minutes played per game.
In high school, Lewis was a four-star top 100 recruit who played for Duncanville High School in Texas. He averaged 16 points and nine rebounds per game as he led Duncanville to a 29-1 record.
Lewis is one of five transfers on the roster for the 2026-27 season, joining Eric Reibe, Joshua Hughes, Jalen Cox and Aaron Hunkin-Claytor. He will also join returners Rodney Rice, Jacob Cofie and Alijah Arenas, and freshmen Adonis Ratliff, Darius Ratliff and Christian Collins.
