Bio
BREAKDOWN: Kurt Karis is a 6-foot-1, 195-pound redshirt senior guard who transferred to USC from Chicago State and sat out the 2015-16 season. He is a walk-on player in his final season of eligibility for USC.
2016-17: Karis played in 13 games and averaged 0.5 points and 0.1 rebounds per game. Played in his first game as a Trojans vs. New Orleans on Nov. 22. Scored his first points as a Trojan by going 2-for-2 from the free throw line vs. Pepperdine on Dec. 11. Made his first field goal with a layup vs. Oregon State on Feb. 9. Scored at the buzzer at Arizona on Feb. 23.

2014-15: Karis played in 21 games for Chicago State and made seven starts. He was fourth on the team with 32 assists, while averaging 1.6 points and 2.1 rebounds. His 1.5 assist to turnover ratio was best on the team for players with five or more assists. Scored a season-high seven points in a 78-73 win vs. UT Pan American on Feb. 7. Grabbed a career-high five rebounds in a game three times, the last time coming vs. Grand Canyon on Feb. 26.
2013-14: As a freshman he appeared in 29 games for the Cougars, making six starts. He scored a career-high eight points while making two steals at Eastern Illinois on Feb. 24. He had five points and three assists vs. UW-Parkside on Dec. 7. He registered at least one steal in 16 games.
HIGH SCHOOL: Karis averaged 17 points and seven assists at Glenbrook North High as a senior. He was named all-conference his final three years at Glenbrook North and named his team's MVP as a junior and senior. Glenbrook North won the conference championship his final three seasons.
PERSONAL: Kurt was born on April 17, 1995 in Illinois. His parents are Andrew and Maria Karis. Kurt is one of 10 children. He was named to the 2014 WAC Winter All-Academics Team
