HIGH SCHOOL: He made 2016 Prep Star All-American Dream Team, Tacoma News Tribune Western 100, Orange County Register Fab 15 first team, All-L.A. City Division II first team and All-Coliseum League first team as a senior wide receiver and defensive back at Hawkins High in Los Angeles (Calif.). In 2016, he had 21 catches for 555 yards (26.4 avg) with 7 TDs, 61 tackles, 2 interceptions (1 for a TD) and 2 fumble recoveries and 6 punt returns for 179 yards (29.8 avg). As a junior in 2015, he made Cal-Hi Sports All-State Junior third team and All-L.A. City Division II second team as he had 51 receptions for 852 yards (16.7 avg) with 8 TDs, 48 tackles, 6 deflections, 2 interceptions (1 for a TD), 10 punt returns for 236 yards (23.6 avg) with 1 TD, 2 kickoff returns for 30 yards (15.0 avg) and punted 12 times for a 44.9 average. As a 2014 sophomore, he made Cal-Hi Sports All-State Sophomore second team and All-L.A. City Division III as he had 37 receptions for 978 yards (26.4 avg) with 3 TDs, 3 carries for 47 yards (15.7 avg) with 2 TDs and 52 tackles, 10 tackles for loss and 1 forced fumble. As a 2013 freshman, he had 33 catches for 775 yards (23.5 avg) with 3 TDs and 13 tackles, 1 interception and 1 fumble recovery. Incoming Trojan Greg Johnson also prepped at Hawkins.
