2017: Jountti, who transferred to USC in the fall of 2017 after receiving his bachelor’s degree from Northern Arizona (he is eligible to play at USC in 2017), will serve as a reserve tailback as a walk-on senior in 2017.
NORTHERN ARIZONA: He ran for 262 yards on 67 carries (3.9 avg) with 3 TDs and caught 2 passes for 21 yards as a 2016 junior tailback at Northern Arizona.
As a 2015 sophomore, he had 378 yards on 78 carries (4.8 avg) with 6 TDs and also caught a 10-yard pass. He had 113 rushing yards against Southern Utah in 2015.
As a 2014 redshirt freshman, he ran for 401 yards on 68 carries (5.9 avg) with 4 TDs and caught 4 passes for 45 yards (11.3 avg). He had 123 rushing yards against New Mexico Highlands in 2014.
He redshirted as a first-year freshman in 2013.
HIGH SCHOOL: He was a 2-time (2011-12) All-League first teamer and made the 2011 All-Area first team as a running back at Liberty High in Bakersfield (Calif.).
PERSONAL: He made the 2016 AFCA Good Works Team for his community service, including during his travels to Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. He received his bachelor’s degree in psychology, with a minor in ethnic studies, from Northern Arizona in December of 2016.
