2017: Jones will serve as a backup walk-on cornerback as a junior in 2017.
2016: Jones did not see action as a reserve walk-on sophomore cornerback in 2016.
2015: Jones was a reserve walk-on redshirt freshman cornerback in 2015. He saw brief action in 1 game in 2015 (versus Idaho), but did not make a tackle.
2014: Jones redshirted as a reserve walk-on freshman cornerback in 2014, his first year at USC.
HIGH SCHOOL: Jones made 2013 All-Mission League second team as a senior defensive back at Serra High in Gardena (Calif.) as he had 33 tackles, 2 interceptions and 5 deflections. Serra went 13-1 in 2013 and won the CIF Western Division Championship.
As a 2012 junior, he had 22 tackles, 1 interception and 9 deflections as Serra won the CIF Western Division crown and the CIF State Division II Bowl. He had 23 tackles, an interception and 5 deflections as a 2011 junior while making All-Mission League second team.
He also played baseball at Serra. Current Trojans Oluwole Betiku, Deontay Burnett, Rasheem Green, Jalen Greene, John Houston, C.J. Pollard, Olajuwon Tucker and Christian Herrera also prepped at Serra.
PERSONAL: He is a real estate development major at USC.
