Bio
BREAKDOWN: Quinton Adlesh is a 6-foot-1, 200-pound redshirt senior guard who will provide the Trojans with another outside scoring threat and experience at the guard position. He graduated from Columbia after last season and transferred to USC with one season of eligibility remaining. He made 180 three-point baskets in his Columbia career, fourth on the school’s all-time list.
2018-19: Adlesh played in all 28 games for Columbia during the 2018-19 season, starting the last 12, and averaging 13.5 points and 2.6 rebounds for the season. He also had 71 assists and made a team-leading 70 three-point baskets. Adlesh was second on Columbia in scoring and 10th among all Ivy League players. He also ranked third in three-point percentage (37.2 percent) and fourth in total three-pointers made among Ivy League players. Adlesh had 45 steals to lead Columbia and his 1.6 steals per game average ranked second in the Ivy League. He scored in double figures in 24 of 28 games. Adlesh matched a career high with six three-pointers made and scored 20 points vs. Bryant on Dec. 7. He scored a career-high 24 points at Harvard on Feb. 8...he made five three-point baskets in the 98-96 triple-overtime loss. At the Columbia awards banquet at the end of the season, Adlesh secured the Walter H. Bernson Memorial award, given to the member of the team who best exemplifies the qualities of team spirit, hustle and determination.
2017-18: He appeared in all 27 games, making 25 starts, and averaging 11.4 points and 3.4 rebounds. He made 44.2 percent of his three-point attempts to lead the Ivy League and rank 14th nationally. His 72 three-point baskets made rank sixth on Columbia’s all-time single-season list. He scored a season-best 23 points and made five three pointers at Longwood on Nov. 14. He netted 16 points and had a season-best seven assists vs. Maine on Dec. 30. He also made five three-pointers and scored 20 points vs. Harvard on Feb. 2. He followed that up the next day with his first career game with six three-pointers made and finished with 18 points vs. Dartmouth. He scored 15 points and had a career-high eight rebounds at Brown on Feb. 10.
2016-17: He saw action in all 27 games off the bench for the Lions, averaging 5.7 points. He made 40.9 percent of his shots from beyond the arc. He scored eight points and had a career-best eight assists vs. Hofstra on Nov. 29. He scored in double figures four times, with a season-best 12 points at Seton Hall on Dec. 1. His other double-figure scoring games were 11 points vs. Harvard on Jan. 28, 10 points vs. Brown on Feb. 4 and 10 points at Harvard on Feb. 27.
2015-16: He appeared in a total of four games and scored 12 points. He made his collegiate debut in the season opener and scored nine points vs. Keane on Nov. 13 and added five rebounds and three assists. He also came off the bench at Northwestern on Nov. 20 vs. Lehigh on Nov. 22 (scored 3 points) and at Manhattan on Dec. 9. He suffered a sprained right ankle and missed the final 15 games of the season due to the injury.
HIGH SCHOOL: Adlesh played point guard for the Mission College Prep Royals, earning Pac-8 League MVP honors his senior season when he averaged 19.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 2.5 steals. He was a first team All-Section selection, earning the school’s Athlete of the Year Award. He recorded 44 and 50-point games during the playoffs in 2015. His team claimed the Mission Prep Pac-8 League Championship his senior season.
PERSONAL: Adlesh was born on October 2, 1996 in Arroyo Grande, Calif. His parents are Steve and Mary Adlesh and he has three older brothers: Nolan, Brannon and Ryan. Adlesh graduated with a degree in Political Science from Columbia and is working on his Master’s in Project Management at USC.
