As a 2007 sophomore, Dunn has proven to be a reliable reliever who can chew up innings out of the bullpen. 2006
Dunn set the USC single-season record for most appearances (40) and was the workhorse for the staff in his 2006 redshirt freshman season...went 3-2 on the season with a 4.00 ERA...in 63 innings, Dunn allowed 58 hits, walked 32 and struck out 33 with opponents batting .258 against him...allowed only one home run in 225 at-bats against him...he did not allow a run in 16 2/3 innings from Feb. 7 through March 4...recorded 3 1/3 scoreless innings, allowing two hits, on May 16 at Pepperdine...struck out four in two innings of work on May 14 at UCLA...earned the Pac-10 win in the second game of a doubleheader on April 1 at Stanford with 2 2/3 scoreless innings...the Cardinal had the bases loaded in the 11th and 12th innings, but Dunn did not allow a run in the Trojans[apos] 3-2 victory...during the series against No. 13 Oregon State, Dunn threw 4 1/3 scoreless innings in two appearances, including a win on March 18 where he had 2 2/3 no-hit innings, to earn his first Pac-10 Conference Pitcher of the Week honor...threw in all three games during the Georgia series (March 2-4) and did not allow a run in six innings...recorded his first collegiate win on Feb. 14 at UC Santa Barbara with 3 2/3 scoreless innings, allowing just one hit with two walks and two strikeouts...threw three perfect innings on Feb. 18 against Vanderbilt at the Public Storage Baseball Classic, striking out four. 2005
Dunn redshirted in his 2005 freshman season...in the summer of 2005, he went 4-1 with a 5.40 ERA for the Wenatchee Apple Sox of the West Coast Collegiate Baseball League...in 23 1/3 innings, he allowed 25 hits, 14 earned runs, walked 10 and struck out 16 batters. High School
He earned league most valuable player honors as a senior at West High in Torrance, Calif after going 12-2 with a 1.37 ERA...earned All-CIF first team and all-league first team honors as West won the Bay League regular season championship. Personal
