THIS SEASON: Elise Stein enters her final season at USC.
2019: Stein scored 21 goals as a junior... Scored in 13 games with six multiple-goal outings, including two hat tricks... Scored three goals during the MPSF Tournament and two goals in the NCAA Tournament.
2018: Stein scored 15 goals as a sophomore... Scored in nine games with four multiple-goal outings... Set new career high with four goals scored vs. Cal Baptist on Jan. 27... Scored two goals in the NCAA quarterfinal vs. Wagner.
2017: Stein score 15 goals as a true freshman... Scored in nine games with five multiple-goal outings… Registered her first career goal against Cal Baptist on Jan. 21… Set career high with a hat trick against Concordia on Jan. 28… Netted two goals in the MPSF Tournament against San José State.
HIGH SCHOOL: Stein was named the CIF Division V Player of the Year as a senior out of Palm Desert HS… Led her team in goals, steals and assists for all four years of her varsity career… Also a four-time all-league First-Team pick, a four-time league MVP and four-time CIF First-Team selection… Played for CHAWP Water Polo Club.
PERSONAL: Stein is majoring in English with hopes of becoming an elementary school teacher in the future… Parents are Ken and Margo Stein… Has four siblings, Kelly, Michelle, Jill, and Grant… Sister Michelle was an All-American water polo player at USC and older brother Grant is currently a junior on the USC men’s water polo team... Her grandfather Vincent Heublein and uncles Brian and Harrison Heublein also attended USC... Brother-in-law Pavol Valovic also played water polo at USC... Uncle Brian Heublein played baseball and basketball at USC... Lists her sister Michelle as her biggest sports hero… Enjoys spending time with her family and friends and baking… Favorite foods include pizza, pasta, and chicken… Favorite movie is Clueless and favorite TV show is Friends... Hopes to visit New York, Paris, and Greece one day… Born on Mar. 14, 1998.
