No. 12 USC Baseball Drops Second Game at Nebraska

LINCOLN, Neb. – The No. 12 USC baseball team dropped its second game on the road at Nebraska on Saturday afternoon, falling 12-2 to the Cornhuskers in seven innings.
USC falls to 30-10 overall on the season and 13-7 in Big Ten play with the loss. Nebraska moves to 30-9, 14-3.
Nebraska took control early and never let up, scoring four in the first and three in the third for an early 7-0 lead.
With the Trojans down 10-0, Adrian Lopez hit a solo-shot in the top of the seventh and USC added a second run on a Nebraska error, but the home team scored two in the bottom half of the inning to end it with a 10-run lead after seven.
COMING UP
The Trojans and Cornhuskers wrap things up on Sunday at 12 p.m. CT/10 a.m. PT on B1G+. USC will then travel to Cal State Fullerton on Tuesday before hosting Purdue next weekend.
