No. 4 USC Beach Volleyball Earns Wins Over CSUN, No. 15 Stetson

The Women of Troy secured the program's 100th win at Merle Norman Stadium.
LOS ANGELES – No. 4 USC Beach Volleyball (10-2) played two more matches at Merle Norman Stadium today, March 3, finishing with two more wins. The Women of Troy defeated CSUN 5-0 and followed that up with a 4-1 win over No. 15 Stetson. With the victory over CSUN, the program secured its 100th home win. Following both matches today, USC now has a 101-11 record at Merle Norman Stadium.
MATCH #11: No. 4 USC def. CSUN, 5-0
RECORDS: USC (9-2), CSUN (0-6)
Sarah Wood and Zoey Henson played on the first flight for USC. The duo and CSUN's Hannah Heflin and Maleya Miles tied up the match through the first few points, but it didn't last for long. Wood and Henson would eventually pull away and ultimately win both sets 21-17 and 21-13.
Ashley Pater and Kennedy Coakley held down the No. 2 spot for the Women of Troy. They won both of their sets in dominating fashion with scores of 21-9 and 21-9.
Playing in the No. 3 spot for USC were Alana Embry and Quincy Stephens. These two handled their business against the Matadors, winning in two sets with scores of 21-16 and 21-12.
Madison Goellner and Kaileigh Truslow played in the fourth flight for the Women of Troy. The duo battled in their first set against CSUN's Jill Rodig and Zaria Henderson, grinding out the 23-21 win. Once they returned to the court for the second set, they got the job done quickly, winning 21-14.
Rounding out the lineup for USC were Kyra Zaengle and Calinda Kok. They remained undefeated after taking on the Matadors, winning with scores of 21-14 and 21-8.

Coming in to play in the third flight were Alana Embry and Quincy Stephens. They refused to go down without a fight against a tough Stetson team. Despite their best efforts, the duo dropped both sets 24-22 and 21-19. Today's results leave their record at 4-1 this season.
Kyra Zaengle and Calinda Kok moved up to the No. 4 spot for this match, and they did not disappoint. Although the Hatters hung around in the first set, Zaengle and Kok thrived with the change, winning 21-17 and 21-8. These two have yet to drop a match this season, sitting at 11-0 on the season.
