Played indoor and beach volleyball at Laguna Beach High School where she was named MVP for all four years… one of Volleyball Magazine’s Fab 50 “Top 5” Players in 2025... named a 2025 AVCA Junior All-American… a finalist for OC Sports Comission Female High School Player of the Year… a member of OC Register’s All-County First Team… a JVA Best in Beach Class of 2023, 2024 & 2025 honoree… a three-time All-Conference MVP… a member of the All-CIF First Team for both indoor and beach volleyball… named to the LA Times Indoor Dream Team… a member of the only undefeated 1’s pair in Orange County… awarded Academic All-Conference throughout all four years of high school… graduated with summa cum laude.
PERSONAL
Kyra Brooke Zaengle was born on November 9, 2006 in Orange, California… daughter of Neda Eaton, Billy Eaton and Matt Zaengle… mother, Neda, played indoor volleyball at Biola University… father, Matt, played basketball and football at Azusa Pacific University… has an older brother, Gavin, and dog, Hunter… enjoys snow skiing, going to concerts and swimming at the beach in her spare time… lists Michael Phelps as her biggest sports hero due to his work ethic… has always wanted to own a goat… wants to visit Brazil and Australia… aspires to represent the US and compete professionally after graduation and pursue a career in the sports and entertainment industry… chose to attend USC for the culture, coaching staff and academic excellence… majoring in public relations and advertising at the USC Annenburg School for Communication and Journalism and minoring in business administration at the USC Marshall School of Business.
