The Trojans look to extend a five-match win streak when they face the Cougars and the Broncos in the LMU Invitational

LOS ANGELES – No. 16 USC (5-0) looks to extend a five-match win streak—which is the best start for the Trojans since 2015—when the team returns to Gersten Pavilion for the LMU Invitational this week. The Women of Troy get another top-25 test when they take on No. 19 BYU (6-0) on Thursday (Sept. 11, 6 p.m. PT) and then wrap week three with a matchup against Western Michigan (1-6) on Friday (Sept. 12, 3:30 p.m.). USC won the Trojan Invitational last week with victories over UC Santa Barbara, San Diego, and No. 13 Creighton.

Redshirt So. MB Leah Ford earned Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week honors on Sept. 1, and leads USC in blocks (1.53 bps).
Redshirt Jr. OH Adonia Faumuina is the team's leading returning scorer and was named to the Big Ten Preseason All-Conference Team.

LAST TIME OUT: USC went the distance to get a pair of five-set wins over UC Santa Barbara and San Diego and then took down No. 13 Creighton in a three-set sweep at Galen Center to claim the Trojan Invitational title. Abigail Mullen—chosen as the Most Outstanding Player—London Wijay, and Reese Messer were each named to the all-tournament team. USC's win over the Bluejays snapped a four-match losing streak to Creighton and pushed the Trojans to a perfect 5-0 to open the season; the best start for the Women of Troy since 2015 when USC was 22-0 before suffering its first loss.

B1G POW: Redshirt So. MB Leah Ford was named the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week on Sept. 1—the first weekly award of her career—after she produced career highs of 11 kills and 10 blocks for her first double-double. In the process, she racked up a career-best 18.5 points as the first player to reach 10 blocks since Aug. 31, 2023, when Lindsey Miller had 11 against Hawai'i on the islands. Trojans have earned Big Ten weekly awards five times with Ford's selection. In 2024—USC's first in the conference—Mia Tuaniga earned Setter of the Week laurels twice while Ally Batenhorst was named the Player of the Week once and Jadyn Livings was chosen for the Freshman of the Week award once.

B1G AND SMALL: Only three Big Ten teams hold winning records against the Trojans. Wisconsin has the best win percentage of the three with a 6-3 mark against USC. Illinois is 4-3 and Penn State is 3-2 against the Women of Troy.

CENTURY CITY: Sixth-year head coach Brad Keller is 90-57 and needs just 10 wins to reach the 100-win mark in his career. Only three other coaches have ever collected 100 or more wins in USC history: Mick Haley (435), Chuck Erbe (310), and Lisa Love (205). At 90 wins, Keller is already the fourth-winningest coach in program history.
