Trojans post four all-time top 10 school marks or times
USC won five events, including the men's 4x100m setting a meet record, during the final day of action for the Trojans at the 2025 Battle on the Bayou hosted by LSU at Bernie Moore Stadium in Baton Rouge, La. today (March 29). Â The rains forced the 4x400m relays to be canceled and moved the completion of the men's high jump indoors.

- The day got off to a blazing start for the Trojans with the men's 4x100m relay team of senior Travis Williams, junior transfer Garrett Kaalund, junior JC Stevenson and sophomore transfer Edward Nketia winning with an NCAA-leading and meet-record time of 38.60. The Trojan quartet also moved to tied for third on USC's all-time 4x100m list and to fifth on the current world-leaders list.
- Sophomore Nathan Cumberbatch won the men's 800m race with a PR of 1:47.70. His time ranks second on the current NCAA descending order list behind Oussama El Bouchayby of Alabama, who placed seventh in today's race.
- Sophomore Madison Whyte won the women's 400m race with a PR and NCAA-leading time of 50.90. Her time moved her into a tie for sixth on USC's all-time list and to tied for ninth on the current world list. Senior Yemi John, who ranks 10th on USC's all-time list, finished third today with a time of 51.70.
- Nketia won the men's 100m dash with a wind-aided time of 10.01 (+2.1w), edging Jelani Watkins of LSU by 0.004 seconds. Nketia's barely wind-aided time is the current NCAA leader. Graduate transfer Taylor Banks had a wind-aided time of 10.29 (+2.9w) to finish seventh.
- Junior Elias Gerald won the men's high jump competition which began outdoors, then finished indoors. Gerald had a best clearance of 7-3.75 (2.23m) which is his best collegiate jump and counts indoors on all-time lists, since competed indoors. Therefore, he moves from tied for fourth to fourth alone on USC's all-time indoor high jump list. His outdoor PR is currently 7-1.75 (2.17m). He does, however, have the top jump by a college athlete so far during the outdoor season.
- Sophomore Nonah Waldron placed second in the women's 100m hurdles with a PR of 12.98 (+0.6). That time ranks third among NCAA hurdlers this season and moves her into a 10th-place tie on USC's all-time list with Mecca McGlaston. Senior Jalaysiya Smith, who ranks seventh on USC's all-time 100m hurdles list, placed fourth today with a time of 13.53 (+0.6).
- Junior Jassani Carter took second in the women's 100m dash, first among collegians, with a time of 11.11 (+5.6w). Her wind-aided time ranks second among NCAA leaders. Freshman Brianna Selby finished fifth (11.30/+5.6w) in the 100m dash, freshman Tiana Eyakpobeyan was sixth (11.32/+2.8w) and freshman Olivia Pace was eighth (11.38/+2.8w).
- Junior Jada Foreman placed second in the women's triple jump with a personal-best leap of 42-8.75/13.02m (+1.0). Foreman now is just outside of USC's all-time top 10 in the triple jump and ranks fifth on the NCAA descending order list in the event.
- The women's 4x100m relay team of Eyakpobeyan, junior transfer Dajaz DeFrand, Whyte and Carter placed third with a time of 43.62. That time also ranks third among NCAA teams this season.
- Graduate transfer Jaren Holmes placed third in the men's triple jump with a best jump of 50-6.00/15.39m (+2.4w).
- Junior William Jones placed sixth in the men's 400m with a time of 46.28.
