2025: Took 4th place in the 60m at the TTU Red Raider Invitational (Jan. 24), with a career-best time of 6.59…Achieved two first-place finishes with the 4x100 relay team… Set a new career-best in the 100m in 9.91 at the NCAA West Prelims (May 31)...Secured second place with the 4x100 relay team at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships (Jun. 14).
PRIOR TO USC: Competed from 2020-23 at Florida State where he posted PRs of 10.08 in the 100m, 20.81 in the 200m and 6.61 in the 60m dash...Earned 2023 Outdoor Second-Team All-ACC Honors in the 100m dash. He set his 100m PR of 10.08 (+1.7) in the first round of the NCAA East Preliminary Rounds....Placed sixth in the 100m at the 2023 ACC Championships and 15th in the event at the NCAA East Preliminary Rounds...Earned first-team All-American honors with Florida State’s 4x100m relay at the 2023 NCAA Championships, finishing third with a time of 38.29...2021 first-team All-American in the 100m, finishing eighth in the final...Earned first-team All-America honors in 2021 in the 4x100m relay, placing third with a time of 38.60. He reached the semifinals in the 100m dash at the 2024 U.S. Olympic Trials..Was selected to the ACC Honor Roll and to the ACC All-Academic Team.
HIGH SCHOOL: 2019 graduate of Miramar High in Miramar, Fla....Swept the 2019 Florida district, region, and state titles in the 100m and 200m...Placed third in the 100m and 200m at the Florida 4A state meet as a junior...Ran a high school PR of 10.26 to place second in the 100m at the Great Southwest Meet and then won the 100m at the Brooks PR Invitational with a time of 10.48...Won the AAU Club Nationals with a meet-record time of 10.39...Achieved a best in the 200m of 20.99. He was an honor roll student and also played on the football team.
PERSONAL: Born on Oct. 10, 2000 in Miramar, Fla..…Parents are Theron and Valencia Banks … Hobbies include fishing and going to the beach…Lists his favorite musical artist as Drake and sports hero as LeBron James…Soul food is his favorite, especially chicken wings, candied yams, mac and cheese, cornbread and a corner of banana pudding…Someday would like to visit Dubai…After graduation would like to run professionally and compete in the 2028 L.A.
