USC Baseball Takes Down Fullerton, 6-5

USC scored the winning run in the eighth, moving to 3-9 with the victory. Cal State Fullerton falls to 4-7 on the season.
The back and forth contest saw the lead change hands or score tied seven times. Fullerton struck first, with a run in the opening inning and USC would tie it twice before taking its first lead thanks to a three-run fifth inning. Ryan Jackson doubled in a pair of runs in the inning and Carson Wells singled home the go-ahead run.
After the Titans tied it in the bottom half of the fifth, the teams traded runs in the sixth, with Austin Overn hitting his second homer of the season for USC. The 5-5 tie was broken in the eighth when KaiKea Harrison hit a two-out double and then was brought home on a single by Dean Carpentier.
Jared Feikes tossed a scoreless bottom of the eighth and Josh Blum closed it out with a scoreless ninth. Xavier Martinez picked up the victory after 2.0 innings of relief.
