Kaitlyn Davis Joins USC Women’s Basketball As Grad Transfer

Newest Trojan is on her way to Galen Center from Columbia.
USC women's basketball is getting a versatile addition to its 2023-24 roster with the addition of grad transfer Kaitlyn Davis. A graduate of Columbia, Davis was a two-time All-Ivy League First Team pick as a Lion.
"Kaitlyn Davis is a thrilling addition to our program," USC head coach Lindsay Gottlieb said. "She has proven to be a high-level performer throughout her career at Columbia, and was an integral part of that program's success. Her versatility is CRAZY! She can impact the game in so many ways, which made her one of the most coveted players in the portal and an ideal fit for USC women's basketball."
"Kaitlyn comes to the West Coast with incredible academic and athletic pedigree and she will bring such value to our entire campus as well as our locker room," Gottlieb added. "As much as she's already accomplished, I still believe she is only beginning to tap into what she's capable of. We cannot wait to get started on this next chapter in her journey."
A native of Norwalk, Conn., Davis prepped at Greenwich Academy, where she was a four-time all-league honoree. Davis will pursue a master's in entrepreneurship and innovation at USC.

A 6-2 guard/forward, Davis shined in her Columbia career. In addition to a pair of All-Ivy First Team selections, she was named to the 2023 WNIT All-Tournament Team and Ivy League All-Tournament Team along with earning a Second Team selection to the All-Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association Team. She was a six-time Ivy League Player of the Week honoree in her three seasons of work with the Lions (the 2020-21 season was canceled due to to COVID pandemic). In her senior season, she recorded the first triple-double in Columbia women's basketball history with 19 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists vs. Dartmouth on Jan. 28. In all, Davis averaged 12.0 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game at Columbia, shooting .476 from the floor in her Lions career. In addition to her senior-season triple-double, Davis recorded 21 double-doubles while at Columbia.Welcome to the #TrojanFamily, Kaitlyn Davis!
