USC Baseball Evens Series with 5-1 Win Over No. 22 UCLA

LOS ANGELES, CA --Â Caden Aoki struck out a career-high eight batters and gave up just one run, while Carson Wells and Johnny Olmstead drove in clutch runs in the sixth to propel the USC baseball team to a 5-1 win over No. 21 UCLA.
In addition to his eight strikeouts, Aoki (3-0) tossed 6.1 innings, giving up one run on four hits and walking two for USC (23-14-1, 10-7). Senior Kyle Wisch also made an impact on the mound for the Trojans, throwing two shutout innings while allowing no hits, with no walks and two strikeouts.
Senior Johnny Olmstead led the way offensively for the Trojans, going 2-for-3 in the ballgame with a home run and two RBI. Junior Carson Wells compiled a noteworthy day at the dish as well, going 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI. Junior Ryan Jackson also contributed, going 1-for-4 for USC with two RBI.
