LOS ANGELES – The No. 11 USC women's soccer team fell 1-0 on the road at No. 24 Arizona State on Thursday night.
Arizona State scored the lone goal of the match late in the second half, as USC moves to 9-3-1 overall and 5-1-1 in Pac-12 play. The Sun Devils move to 10-2-4, 5-1-1.
The Trojans manufactured the majority of the chances on the evening, earning 14 corner kicks to Arizona State's none; outshooting the Sun Devils 13-5; and winning the possession battle 61% to 39%.
Colorado scored the match-winner off a throw-in in the 72 minute. Hannah Lapeire converted on a cross sent in by Keri Matthews.
The goal scored by Arizona State was the first USC has given up in open play since Sept. 28 at Washington State. The loss breaks USC's unbeaten streak at seven.

72' – ASU: Hannah Lapeire (assisted by Keri Matthews and Emilie Simpson) – Off a Simpson throw-in, Matthews served a right-footed cross into the box. Lapeire met it at the back post and tapped it in.
